Budapest sightseeing and tours

Author:

blarticle

There are many options for Budapest tours whether you would like to see the country during the daylight hours or even the evening when everyone comes out to have a great time. During the day you can go caving, walking or even see the land by sea. Each experience offers something different by being able to see different parts and different people. Spend a few hours on a boat or perhaps take a bus down the Danube to get a view like no other.

Of course the nightlife here is a great part of Budapest travel as there are many different foods that you can try and you can see how others get to party in the evening hours. If you have a Budapest sightseeing guide, they will take you to hot spots where you can sing, dance, and drink and just have a great time and unwind from a day of seeing the sights. Naturally Hungary tours are going to be a part of your vacation so that you can try all of the foods and wines that they have to offer as well.

The Fun Begins Here…

Many do not know that Hungary can bring about relaxation and it even has a hint of romance in the air. Here there are historic homes and spas where you can sit back and forget about the rest of the world that surrounds you. Take the private wine tour and see the mountains as never before. Of course the cave bath tour provides you with a scene that is out of the storybooks with a waterfall included. Here you can take a train ride, enjoy a wonderful lunch and spend 4 hours getting a massage, eating and even taking part in hydrotherapy. Once you leave here you will feel like a new person starting over.

Opting for Hungary tours or Budapest tours can bring about a vacation that you will want to bring home with you. There are so many different options that are offered for a vacation of a lifetime and it may seem hard to make a plan while you are there. Of course switching the itinerary while you are here is not a problem but staying longer may be the answer in order to do more. Although you may be looking at the Budapest tours as your main attraction do not forget to add at least one day trip for Hungary tours as well.

Helicopter tours from Budapest

Flying on the most beautiful panoramic routes, which are available from Budapest.

You can choose from 5 programs:

Budapest by nightBudapest: The flight path of the program is one of the most beautiful one, shows the country's capital. The route is in the altitude of an average of 150-350 meters. In this high-altitude view  we can see well the city, and all the striking building. Along the southern part of the city of Buda we fly over. At  the free-port we reach the Danube and the Gellért Hill then we fly over it. We turn back at the Citadel, as the airspace does not allow the flying farther, but there is no need, because from this point there is an excellent view over the city. We can admire the city from direct exposure, but still bird's eye view.

Danube BendVisegrad – Danube Bend: The program's flight path is the Buda hills in the northwest of the capital, that will display a unique panorama of Budapest. At the Megyeri-bridge we fly over the Danube, and we follow to the Visegrad Citadel. Szentendre, island of Szentendre, Visegrad, Pilis and the Danube Bend has picturesque scenery and amazing experience.
Esztergom: We  pass the Buda Hills in the west to reach Esztergom an area that was inhabited in prehistoric times already. In the castlejill and its surroundings 18-20 thousand years old settlements have been revealed. The Celtics living here built fortifications in every 10-20 km and stationed a significant number of troops in them. In the eastern side of the hill a castrum was  built as a prosperous city, military camp, and Danube crossing point.

RobinsonLake Velence: After taking off from Budaörs we fly to the west along the M7 motorway. At the height of Agard we cross over the extensive lake of 26 square kilometers. The lake coloured with reed, with the high and lofty mountains and gently rolling hills on the north side has soul soothing sight with the tranquility of the watersurface.

Lake Balaton: After taking off from Budaörs we fly to the west along the M7 motorway. We fly over the lake Velence and at about Balatonvilágos we reach the shores of Lake Balaton. We follow the southern shore to Siófok and then we turn right to Tihany Peninsula. We,fly over the Abbey and we can admire the flat mirror surface of the lake on the top of the mountain, then turn north following the coast towards Budapest.

Our guide will take you to the airport by car and goes through the program with you.
At the end of the program, you will return to the hotel.

Spend a pleasant day among the waves of Balaton!

We leave the capital by bus to the western direction and after an hour driving we reach the largest sweet water lake in Middle-Europe, called Balaton. It is 76 kilometres long and from 1.5 to 14 kilometres wide. The northern part of it is a hilly landscape while the southern coast is totally flat. This is the most popular holiday area in Hungary.

There will be peace and silence surround while you take delight in an amazing sight
About one hour later we will reach the Peninsula of Tihany, situated on the northern shore. We visit the famous Benedictine abbey and the church that was founded in 1055 by Hungarian King András I. Hungry in Hungary? Why a Stag Weekend in Budapest Should Always Start With a Great Meal

It is worth knowing a few basics. Étterem is the generic Hungarian term for a restaurant, Vendéglõ is typically a small restaurant with a more traditional feel and Sörözõ is a beer hall or pub, which usually has just as wide a selection of food as any restaurant. These rarely have food in them, generally just booze halls The small buffet restaurants are a good bet for traditional food on the run, although you may need to take a risk or two when ordering from the Hungarian-only menus. However, as the food is usually on display, you should be able to get what you want with basic international sign language and any Hungarian you may pick up. Also, as restaurants are required to display their prices outside their doors, you always know what to expect to pay before you take the plunge.
For that main stag weekend meal with all your mates try the hugely popular (and for very good reason) Liszt ferenc ter - a square loaded with restaurants, bars and cafes. The leader is Menza, followed by Café Vian. Menza, in Liszt Ferenc Square, with its retro décor and large terrace, is one of the hottest spots for drinking and dining in Budapest. Anyone from business lunches to in-vogue celebs can be seen dining here, which also makes this a place to book ahead. The menu is filled with modern takes on traditional Hungarian dishes and most are surprisingly affordable considering Menza's popularity. Also in Liszt Ferenc Square is Fresco, again great food with a great terrace, and Café Vian, with a guaranteed view of beautiful girls all summer long.
Baraka is the place to go for international cuisine. It is a quieter, more refined place to dine and you'll need to book early to avoid disappointment. Another excellent bet is Tom George, one of the top restaurants in town, offering fantastic food in a sophisticated yet relaxing environment.
A few more recommended eateries are Ocean, which serves fantastic seafood in elegant surroundings, Portside - Cactus Juice's more sophisticated brother. Cactus juice is good for big meat plates served with ice cold pints. Perfect for a stag weekend. If you are missing your Balti, try the Taj Mahal, a celebrated Indian restaurant with a modern décor and good music, or if it's Italian you have come to Hungry for, wander down to Toscana on the river bank. For a bit of fun, Sir Lancelot offers up massive portions with a medieval theme, or Beckett's, Budapest's legendary Irish bar, serves decent pub grub and has a great sporty atmosphere - a natural home base for many a stag party, particularly during a big match. Carnivore? Head for Fat Mo's Beer Hall and you'll be served good-sized sizzling steaks by hot waitresses.
Of course, booking a table might be the least of your worries if you also need accommodation, transfers to the airport and don't know the lingo. The best option is to use an established company who will sort out the whole stag weekend in Budapest with you - look for a company that will not only find you the best restaurants but will also find you a competitively priced hotel and help you arrange those all important pre- and post-meal activities. Bon Appétit or, as they say in Hungarian, Jó étvágyat!
